The “Den Haag All Stars Ensemble” was created in summer of 2009 from an urge to simply make music for the sake of music alone. Seeing that we exist in a dizzying period of cultural miss-understanding and media-brainwashing all the musicians sought to keep their music alive and kicking by presenting it in a way that would make it more community-focused as opposed to being only oriented to fulfilling the limited expectations that are inherent when an ensemble seeks to communicate exclusively within the realm of high-culture.
All the composers in the ensemble are graduates or current students of the composition department of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. “The Den Haag All Stars” have made several performance this year in Studio Loos where they were an ensemble in residency and in addition to this they have also presented concerts at ‘Het Nutshuis’ as part of various music series that have taken place at this venue. All of these concerts were programmed with original pieces composed by the ensemble’s members and furthermore each performance has featured a new concept for each occasion.
Ofir is also learning the banjo.
